Economist Joins Firm

Alan Zuschlag, an economist who advises the World Bank on rural issues, has joined the Middleburg real estate firm Armfield, Miller and Ripley. Zuschlag owns a farm in Amissville in Rappahannock County, where he raises purebred Clun Forest sheep.

He also serves on the Rappahannock-Rapidan Regional Commission's Agriculture Development Committee, is secretary-treasurer of the Rappahannock Farmers Association and recently completed a term on the board of the CRC Foundation, which supports the Smithsonian Institution's Conservation and Research Center in Front Royal.
